Things are heating up this fall as football season is in full swing. What are you bringing to the table? Whether you’re tailgating, watching a Sunday game at home with friends and family, or simply looking for great backyard eats to cook while spending time around the fire, these BBQ wings will do the trick.

Warm up and cook wings to perfection on Pi Fire. Toss the cooked wings in plenty of flavorful sauce and dig in! These wings can be made using Pi Fire, or you can cook them in your Solo Stove Pi or Pi Prime pizza oven.

Equipment

Bonfire 2.0, Pi Fire Pizza Oven, Cast Iron Griddle

Ingredients

2 pounds wings

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon paprika

¼ teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon olive oil

2/3 cup barbecue sauce (choose your favorite!)

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

Directions

Step 1: Build a Fire

Build a fire in your Solo Stove fire pit. Set Pi Fire on top and allow it to heat up for 15 minutes.

Step 2: Season the Wings

In a large bowl, add the wings, garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Add in the olive oil and toss to coat the wings with seasoning.

Step 3: Preheat the Cast Iron

Slide the cast iron griddle into the pizza oven and allow it to heat up for 10 minutes.

Step 4: Cook the Wings

Pull the cast iron griddle out of the pizza oven and set it on the base. Arrange the wings on the griddle in an even layer and put it back in the pizza oven. Cook the wings for 25 to 30 minutes, removing the cast iron and turning the wings twice throughout the cooking process.

Step 5: Make the Sauce

While the wings are cooking, prep the sauce. Whisk together the barbecue sauce and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl. Add in hot sauce, if desired.

Step 6: Coat the Wings

Once the wings are fully cooked, remove them from the pizza oven. Place the cast iron on the base to cool. Transfer the wings to a large bowl, pour in the sauce, and toss the wings until fully coated. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and serve immediately.
