Pimento Cheeseburger Sliders

Searching for the ultimate way to dress up burger sliders? Look no further than the simple mixture that makes up pimento cheese. Creamy and tangy with pops of sweet peppers, this spread is a combination of mayonnaise, bold cheddar cheese, and chopped pimento peppers. Of course, you can add additional seasonings such as paprika and garlic powder, or add some heat with a touch of cayenne and chopped jalapenos.

Cook mini burgers over the fire, add sliced onions for good measure, and stack these sliders with all the fixings. They’ll be the ultimate burgers you and your friends bite into on a sunny summer day or warm evening.

Pimento Cheeseburger Sliders

This recipe makes six sliders but can easily be doubled to feed a bigger crowd.

EquipmentBonfire 2.0, Cast Iron Griddle Top + Hub

Ingredients

6 slider buns

1 pound ground beef, formed into 6 slider patties

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/2 of an onion, sliced

1/3 cup mayonnaise

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced pimento peppers

Shredded lettuce

Sliced pickles

Step 1: Build a fire

Build a fire in your Solo Stove fire pit. Start by burning 3-4 logs, allowing them to reduce down just about to a low flame with hot coals. Set up the cooking hub with the griddle on top.

Step 2: Make the pimento cheese

In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, shredded cheese, and pimento peppers. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 3: Set up your buns

Split the slider rolls. Place shredded lettuce and sliced pickles on the base, leaving the top bun next to each set up.

Step 4: Start the onions

Put your onions on the griddle to allow them to start cooking. Flip as needed.

Step 5: Cook the patties

Season the slider patties with salt and pepper. Cook the slider patties on the cast iron griddle. Right before pulling them off, top the patties with a spoonful of pimento cheese.

Step 6: Assemble the sliders

Remove the slider patties from the griddle. Place one on each burger set up, top with onions, add the top bun, and dig in!
