Our Moms are often those encouraging us to grow outside our comfort zones. Offering their support when our dreams seem out of reach. They teach us that the view from the mountaintop is always worth the climb. By sharing their world with us, they ignite our passions, fuel our adventurous spirit and desire to explore the world around us.

Whether she nurtured your curiosity in the garden with her green thumb, lit your fire for cooking over an open flame, or gave you that extra push when you didn’t think you could manage one more hairpin turn on the climbing trail. Moms show us the best lessons in life are learned outdoors, and the toughest journeys have the most spectacular views. 

Our Moms’ willingness to share their own passions and include us in their adventures is a testament to their love, support, and commitment to creating memories that will be shared for a lifetime and beyond. 

#FueledByMom In Action

Katie Cahn embodies the definition of #fueledbymom, by passing down knowledge she learned from her mom to her daughter.

Cahn is a metalsmith and part-time fly fishing guide who lives in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. She credits her love of the outdoors to her mom, a nurse who single-handedly raised three kids. Despite how busy she found herself, Cahn's mother still found time to take them all camping and fishing. Whether her mom was casting a line, picking up trash along a trail, or growing vegetables in the garden, Katie was always along for the ride.

Cahn's passions are evident in her work. The wearable art she makes out of recycled jewelry is inspired by the rivers and mountains where she grew up. It’s where she continues to spend quality time with her mom and her daughter, Myra.

Those rivers are where Katie learned to fish from her mom, and now the place where Katie nurtures Myra's love of the outdoors.

It’s an inspiring story of a family exploring the outdoors together and fueling the passions of the next generation.

We plan to honor 10 inspiring moms with a Mesa or Mesa XL in the color of their choice, starters, and a few other surprises depending on where you live.

This contest will run from May 1 through May 7, 2023, and is open to the U.S., Canada, Australia, and Europe residents. Click here to read the official rules.
